Residential parenting Assessment
SafeSpace Living provide a 12 week residential parenting assessment for families.
During the assessment process, SafeSpace Living provide a Midway Review when families have been in our care for 6 weeks. This identifies and highlights the most suitable and appropriate interventions which will be made available to the family to ensure they have every opportunity to achieve the best outcome.
Skills Learnt
We use various strategies to work in partnership with families' learning styles to ensure they can develop the skills required for safe and positive parenting and every day healthy and positive living
Meetings
Professionals will be provided with weekly updates and plans for the family to ensure that communication is open and transparent and information is shared appropriately and without delay.
PAMS, CUBAS & ParentAssess assessment models
Each family is unique and deserves the opportunity to have a positive assessment experience using a model of assessment most suited to their needs
Parenting Guidance & Support
SafeSpace Living work in partnership with families and professionals. SafeSpace Living provide regular life story and keywork sessions to ensure that parents are aware of their progress and areas of development.

Areas of work include, Anger management, Domestic abuse, Loss and bereavement, Self-esteem and confidence building, Relationship/mediation work, Alcohol/Substance misuse, identifying training and making future plans
Therapeutic Techniques
Therapeutic parenting and individual therapeutic interventions are provided for families throughout their journey to support their individual needs and ensure that any emotional trauma affecting their ability to parent can be addressed in a safe and supportive environment.

Residential parenting 24/7 within the SafeSpace Living home
SafeSpace Living provides facilities for 24 hour CCTV and one to one support and supervision for families
Research & Training
Research & Training
Our staff are regularly provided with access to up to date research and the opportunity to attend regular training to support their staff development.
Community Based Assessment
SafeSpace Living staff are qualified social workers who can extend their range to work with family members outside of the organisation to ensure that assessments for extended family members, siblings and all other identified and relevant assessments can be completed effectively and without any avoidable delay.

Next Steps Programme
When a family has concluded their journey, SafeSpace Living will ensure that we support them residing independently. Our Next Steps Programme provides a budget to be used to support families moving on and removing any barriers to delays.
Family Time supervision
If required we can work with the local authority in facilitating Family Time.
Community based parenting assessment for non resident parent
Community based parenting assessment for non-resident parents are available to be undertaken by SafeSpace Living qualified social workers.

Evaluating and assessing individuals seeking to become special guardians or connected persons to ensure the well-being and suitability for the child.

Assessing the relationships and dynamics between siblings, both when they are together and when they are apart, to inform decision-making regarding their care and placement.
